  • File replication

Need a bit of advice on 2 issues.

Have 3 small offices (approx 15 people in each office), looking to do away with their tape drives and replicate the files nighly to the Head Office and backup. each office has approx 20Gb of files and change is very small. Anyone have the best solution for file repliaction.

And the second is we have 2 nas boxes one at Head Office and second remotely, have used rsync built into the nas boxes but it is sooooo slow. Xcopy works but is slow. what I need is softwar that compaires and alters only the changed files overnight.

    Thanks in advance.

We're using WS08 R2 DFSR to centralize our backups. Works like a charm.

What is your bandwidth between offices?

Agree DFSR is probably the best way to go after the initial sync is completed

We run Symantec Netbackup. Works very well but will depend on bandwidth between sites.
