Do you have DHCP on your LAN?

Re: laptop is not connecting to lan

Is the laptop connecting over ethernet or wirelessly?
Does the DHCP server have free leases?

DHCP would be disabled on the servers LAN connection to give it a static IP address

Re: laptop is not connecting to lan

Crap, didn't check the IP against the DNS. Was expecting the IPCONFIG /ALL from the laptop. I'm getting to old for this. Click image for larger version
