  • domain switch from 2000 to 2008

    Hello one an all

im in the process of putting a plan together to upgrade all the server software on our domain, we currently have 2 TC's, 3 DC's, 1 Mailserver and file & print server all running 2000

in what order will i need to do the upgrade? or does it not matter?

can you have a 2008 dc in a 2000 domain?

i was thinking of adding a spanking new machine 2008, running the Adprep tool then transfer the roles over to the new machine, then it would be a case of configuring licensing for remote desktops etc

    any thoughts?
