  • Cannot extend volume in windows 2008R2

    Hi

I have a fresh install of windows 2008 R2 on Dell 2900 with 7Tb RAID5 storage. During installation I just created a system volume and was planning to create a data drive on remaining space once windows installed. After installation I found 2 partitions with unallocated space ( 1950 Gb and 4469Gb ) and cannot make it into a single partition/drive. "Extend Volume" option is grayed out although there is unallocated space on a right hand side partition.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

With a near 2Tb volume, you are up against some system limits
