  • Windows 2008 Multiple RDS Connections

Windows allows 2 concurrent Remote Desktop Service (formerly Terminal Service) connections by default.

My group has 10 sys admins, who may need concurrent RDS connections to various Windows 2008 servers.

I have set up a RDS licensing server on one of our domain controllers.

Question: Do I have to enable the Remote Desktop Session Host functionality on each Windows 2008/R2 server that we want more than 2 concurrent connections to? Or can multiple concurrent connections be granted via licensing without RD Session Host on each server?

    Thanks.
