    hello one an all

we are currently running 6 servers on server 2000, which were are moving to 2008/ R2

R2 will be installed on the servers with hardware that supports 64bit, on the other servers 32bit 2008 will be installed.

because all the servers wont be switched over too 2008 at once, the functional level will be 2000 (because of the yet to be switched over servers)

will Server 2008 32bit & Server 2008 R2 live happily on a domain together with AD etc or is it best to just install 2008 on everything

we cant afford to swap all hard ware over, other wise i would have 6 spanking new servers!!

    thanks

No problems with coexistence, although there are two different functional levels, so you will probably want to make your DCs all R2 to get the best functionality.
