  • Which shared folders are entitled by a user

    Hi,

In Windows 2008 R2, is there a way how to know which shared folders are entitled by a user with no explore folder by folder ?.

    Thanks in advance

Normally a quick reference to your design documentation should do the trick.....
If you don't have any, spend the time needed to create it, then use it

You could do a bit of research about Powershell commands to read the ACLs on a set of nested folders, and dump the output to a text file. Then scan the text file for what you want. But it's much more effective to use AD groups--assign permissions on a folder to a group, then make people a member of that group. Then it's simply a click or 2 in your Active Directory console to see the group members.

Surreal! I searched, then copy/pasted the url from the page. Thanks for updating it.
