  • Two consecutive public IP addresses for Direct Access

    How can I do that?

I am setting a lab because I am studying Direct Access, but how could I set up two consecutive PUBLIC ip addresses?.

Contact your ISP and get a block of IP addresses then allocate 2 to DA

Save yourself a lot of hassle and don't bother trying with native DA in 2008 R2, because it's 99% likely it won't ever work even if you can get the IPs from your ISP. Much improved in 2012, very easy to setup and very reliable and with no requirement for a full IPv6 infrstructure internally. Instead the DA server does all the translation.

I have DA running at home with a dynamic IP mapped to a static hostname via a dynamic DNS provider, the basic install is only a few clicks and if it's for exam studying IIRC you'll only get asked questions about requirements rather than implementation specifics.
