  • Unable to upload custom image to WDS in Server 2008

Well, 'm new to the forum..neways, actually 'm trying to configure WDS in vmware workstation. I have configured Server 2008 SP1 as WDS server (DHCP, DNS and DC too). I was able to create a boot image and capture image.

However, when I try to sysprep my XP (Pro SP2) machine in the vm, I cannot see 'C' drive in the "volume to capture option". I have read across many articles about the same, but I have tried installing the correct version of sysprep. I tired from both downloading the Sysprep from MS and from the XP media too, but none of them work.

Here's what 'm trying to do:

    1. Created a boot image (default boot.wim from server 200 and 've captured the image and managed to create a capture image.

    2. 've a client machine (above mentioned XP with some custom installed s/w), I run sysprep, the machine rebooted, when I press F12 and select the captured image, "Volume To Capture" is empty.

More Info: I have run the correct sysprep for my client both frm MS site and tried even frm the media ( too...

    Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.
