    I am in the proccess of upgrading windows 2003 (32 bit) to windows 2008 (64 bit). All my clients are currently windows 32 bit xp machines. Will I experience any communication or compatiabilty issues? thanks

    Based on the information we have, no. Windows XP machines can utilise Windows Server 2008 servers.

      One thing you may have to consider is the Print Server will have to have 64 bit and 32 bit drivers installed. The good news is that the process of adding a new printer in 2008R2, you should be reminded of that fact and you should have both sets of drivers on hand before you start.
