  • Is W2K8 using DFS-R sysvol replication by default?

    Hi all,

Just going through some MS training material and it suggest i try a W2K8 server with 2003 forest functionality and then up it to w2k8 forest and then migrate sysvol to use DFSR-R for replication and not FSR. Now i cant get it to do as the material says, it keeps coming up with this:

    Current DFSR global state: Eliminated
    New DFSR global state: 'start'
    Invalid state change requested

When using this command: dfsrmig /setglobalstate 0

Now i can read that state 3 is eliminated, so i figured maybe because my server was installed with a 2008 forest functionality it is already using DFS-R ?

    Can any advice?

    Regards
    Rippie
