  • Securing Terminal server service (Applocker vs. SRP) ?

    Hi All,

I'm currently securing my terminal server (Remote Desktop Service) on Windows Server 2008 R2,

one of the prerequisite is that only certain application can be executed / run in this Terminal Server (white listing)

and no one can make changes in the root C: drive or any system settings.

now I'm confused which one to use Applocker or Software Restriction Policy ?

    Cheers,

    AWT

I realize it's an old post, but take a look at this:

    AppLocker: Frequently Asked Questions
    technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee619725(WS.10).aspx
add a at the end, I can't yet post URLs.
Or you can search the (technet com) for "AppLocker: Frequently Asked Questions".
There is an answer at "How does AppLocker differ from Software Restriction Policies (SRP)? "
