  • Push Printer using the Printer Management in Win2008 R2 64 bit

    Hi All,

    We managed our printer by using GPO from Windows 2008 R2 server.
    Basically we use the Printer Management in Win2008 R2 to push the printer to the clients which are running on Vista.

    One day we removed this printer from the pushed printer management but some of the users still have the printer in their printer and fax list.

    When we try to delete manually, we can't and there is this message:
    "Printer connection cannot be removed. Access denied"

    Anybody ever encounter this before?

    Thanks,

    Jimmy

    You can remove old printer connections from the registry:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers

    using a local Administrator account.
