  • NIC connection speed

    Hello,
I can not find a way how to display current NIC connection speed.
Like in 2003 when you place a cursor on connection icon it shows 100Mb/s or 1Gb/sec.
    Where is this in 2008?

    Thx.

    Go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections\
Right click Local Area Connection - > Status

      Ephrem privet.
your instructions are absolutely fine for long way to see NIC properties in 2003/XP.
In 2003 there is a shorter way to do it. Right click on Network icon and click status.

But what is funny that I checked again Network and sharing center in 2008 and it is the same properties page in 2008 when you click Local Are Connection. Kind off I was blind

Thank you for pushing me to double check it in 2008.

Microsoft has many options to do the same thing. Two of my favourites:
        1. CTRL+SHIFT+ESC then click the Networking tab
        2. Hold mouse over Network icons (pre setup) in System Tray
