    Re: SMB Shared Folder

Is the WS08 server clustered? I ran into an issue when we updated our corporate file servers to WS08. MAC OS users were no longer able to connect to their shares. I used the fix described in this blog to resolve.

      Re: SMB Shared Folder

      Hi all,

I've just come across this problem as well - and have tried the various fixes (smb://servername:13/sharename etc etc...) and still having no luck.

      Specific config is:

      Win2k8 R2 failover cluster
      OSX 10.4.11

I've gone through almost everything I can find - about to log a MS call but that's a last resort...

      So far:
Verified SMB signing policy is set to low / off
Enabled netbios over tcpip on all cluster nodes
Attempted every variant of smb connections:
      smb://servername/sharename
      smb://servername:139/sharename
      smb://fqdn/sharename
      smb://fqdn:139/sharename
Have bound OSX to AD and still same result
      Cleared mac keychain

Help please.....the mac users are grumbling...

You might upgrade to Leopard or Snow Leopard according to this article: http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/M..._23703783.html
