  • active directory with linux dns

My problem is that i want to create new Windows 2008 domine in DMZ, with name xxx.it, that's a public name, but in DMZ I have my public DNS, if I create domine with AD DNS and if I join server to new domine I have fear that public name of the machine can conflict with the DNS record A name in bind DNS.
    How I can do?

    Thank you.

Re: active directory with linux dns

Do you need to do Internet name resolution from that domain?
You don't have to give the domain the public name. Just give it another internal/ private domain name and then create a forwarder to your other DNS.

That way there would be no conflicts.

"Do you need to do Internet name resolution from that domain?"
      Yes I do internet resolution

The best solution that I have found is to configure DNS delegation from BIND to Windows AD zone when it is request.
