  • delegating dns authority

I'm pretty sure this is possible, but havin trouble tryin to find it while looking around on some test systems.

I'm proposing a solution where by client has 1 active directory domain (company.com) split into OUs, based on geographic location. we then make IT staff in each site delegfated responsibility for that location and that location only..

Client then wants to keep vaguely separate dns namespace, so that a computer at, say, london, would be called computer1.london.company.com

is it logical to do, or easy to do ? I've tried creating a delegation, but i don't seem to be able to do what i want.
so instead i've just created an entire zone, stored it in AD, and made it primary. Now I've got a security tab I can assign permissions to..

    sound ok ?
