  • URGENT! Need 2008 R2 Adprep32

I have a consultant on site, looks like we misran adprep32 for 2008 R2, and now we can't promote the controller into gthe domain.

massive, massive, massive appreciation to someone who could make this available for us ASAP somewhere via rapidshare, or something !!

Isn't that on the sources\adprep folder in the R2 media?

That's what I thought. Didn't they get loads of flak for not including the Exchange 2007 32-bit prep tools on the DVD and making everybody download the eval copy just to prepare 32-bit domains for Exchange?

          Re: URGENT! Need 2008 R2 Adprep32

it is on the cd :P my junior scored over me again :P several times tonight in fact.

I did the build and adprep earlier this week - did adprep from a 2008 x32 cd, not considering we were deployin 2008 R2 x64

my understanding was adprep32 wasn't on the x64 cd.. and had a coupkle of challenges in getting into the environment at work, to get it out to the client.. worfked out pretty quick in the end

and yes - adprep32 is now included on the x64 r2 disk

still, a challenging evening so far.. when i expected to sit at home adn drink beer.

(for the record, the other engineer told me "no it needs to be r2" then "no, it has adprep32 on th same disk")
          so he's winning
