  • Can Windows Domain Name be in any characters e.g. Japanese

I could not find a straight answer to this one:

If I have a Japanese system installed, can the domain name be also in Japanese? Can the NetBIOS name be in Japanese?
I remember that I can add users in my AD in Japanese, but can I add Machines, printers etc… ?

    Thanks!

Is this in a mixed English & Japanese environment or are you wanting to setup a pure Japanese network/Domain?

        Well, guess what, you can!

I have a forest, the parent domain is English only
the child domains are one Japanese and one German both using Unicode for the DNS and NetBIOS domain names
