  • Help moving IAS from 2003 to 2008

    Hi all,

I have a windows 2003 server currently as the RADIUS server for my wireless LAN doing PEAP authentication with IAS, it is also a domain controller and root CA.

Can someone tell me the best route to migrate this to a new 2008 Enterprise DC that I installed?

Also, can I remove the domain controller role from the 2003 box that is running IAS and root CA or will that cause issues? would like to do this ASAP because the server is under a lot of load.

I believe that IAS does not work on Windows 2008, it will have to be moved to another Windows 2003 server.

There is an IAS thingie (RADIUS Server) in Windows 2008, however you have to install NPS (Network Policy Server)
