  • Configure windows 2008 require LDAP Sign In and File Sharing

Hello to everyone. This is my first post and I need the following help.

I have the following scenario. We have a Unix machine that holds LDAP directory structure with our users.
This Unix is synchronized with a windows 2003 Active Directory.
I have installed a new server with windows 2008 operating system that I want to use it as a file sharing server. The requirement is that the authentication is done via the LDAP directory.
I have read extensively through the net but I am completelely confused. Firstly I thought I can use AD LDS , but its only for applicatons. Right?

Can I use NFS? and How I am going to configure it with the LDAP?

    Thanks
    Lefteris

Join the Windows 2008 server to the domain and setup NTFS permissions? Or did I missed something?
