  • hibernation (no hyper-V installed)

I need to set up hibernation (no hyper-V installed).
I'm sure there's a way, but google is mute.
    Anyone got it working?
    This is a laptop

Are you really running Server 2008 on a laptop?

Yes. not such a bad solution. The reason is, this laptop replicates my main workstation, which is windows server 2008 64-bit. Our sysadmin didn't like vista or XP 64.

      Anyway, is hibernation an option?

      Thanks

        Have you seen this?

I dont have a physical system without HyperV to test on -- definitely doesnt work on a HyperV VM!

Have to say, given the price difference between Vista/XP and Server, you have a very generous sysadmin!
