  • Can you assign Static IP addresses to Windows VPN clients?

Anyone know if it's possible to assign static IP addresses to VPN users? I ask because our firewalls filter based on the users IP address for which we assign static IP's within the office. However, when users come in via Windows 2008 VPN server, they are assigned random IP addresses making it difficult to apply granular firewall rules to incoming VPN users as they traverse the network.

    Thanks!

Why not asign a specific range of IPs and then apply the firewall rules to that specific IP range.
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2

      Yes you can.

You can use Remote Access Policies, and configure specific users or computer names with specific IP addresses.
