  • Resolving internal / external DNS (Was: Major Dns Problem. Help)

    Hi.

    We have a major problem. We have 3 seperate servers. 1 DNS Server 1 Web Server and 1 SQL server

    The problem is that we can access our website internally and not externally. When pinging the website www.123.com it says 192.168.0.10 (the webserver internal ip) and not the DNS IP (external).

    all traffics route throu the DNS server cause we have just one external IP. i have made it function just for some time until the server does someting and the website dont works.

    I can't find anything on HOW to set up the IIS and DNS on Seperate servers.
    We are Running Windows Server Enterprise 2008 and IIS 7

    The webserver running WSS 3.0 as a master farm.

    PLEASE HELP.

    // Rikard

    Have you created the appropiate DNS records by your ISP and have you published the website on the firewall?
