  • 2008 Deployment services question

    Hello,
I quickly installed Deployment services Role and have couple of questions.
By reading general info I understand that I have to create preboot env. for PXE enabled clients and capture the image for distribution.

I would like to have a clean XP image for deploying. Not to capture image from existing machine.

    My questions:
    1. How I do that? (From XP cd or XP iso image placed on local HD)
    2. How I create boot disk (for machines without PXE boot option)

    General question:
Some time ago I tested Deploymnet services on 2003r2.
I remember it required SQL express. Interesting that there are no prerequest for SQL for 2008 Dep services. What serves as DB for Dep services.

    Thx.
    Michael.
