    Hi guys

I have a problem with the following incident from some of the Windows Server 2008.

    | Device: Domain / DeviceName
    | Event Log: Security, Warning
    | Source: Microsoft-Windows-Security-Auditing
    | Event ID: 5031
    | User: SYSTEM
    | Event Time: 2009/03/06 09:16:08
    |
    | The Windows Firewall Service blocked an application from accepting incoming connections on the network.

    |
    | Profiles: Domain
    |
    | Application: C:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office12\excel.exe

    I have checked Technet:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../dd364368.aspx
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc754714.aspx

It real doesn't give me an idea what to do to get it resolved. What I have noticed though was that computer firewall was enabled. Do I have to get it turned off? Another thing I find it difficult to turn it off because it's radio button is grayed out but I don't have a policy that enables or disable it.

    Thx in advance

    K

      Re: Microsoft-Windows-Security-Auditing

You will need to add an exception into the firewall to allow excel to access it.

Or go into the services.msc and disbale the firewall servcie.
