    Hello All
I have set up a user with the default password rules.

How do i stop a user going from password1 to password2 to password3 when they are set to be changed?

    Thanks

    Re: Rolling Passwords

If I'm reading your question correctly, the answer is: you simply can't.
If you have enabled the Complexity requirements and Password history though I wouldn't worry about it.
Can't be too demanding at the end users sometimes as it might backfire i.e. in the form of wrighting their credentials in a post-it and stick it on the side of the monitor

      Re: Rolling Passwords

Ensure you educate users regarding the type of paswords not to be used. Also, include the same in the AUP that users sign and add it to your Data Securty Policy for the network.

There are probably 3rd Party solutions that provide this but will involve key logging, so is by no means a desirable solution.
