  • Pros and cons of using roaming profiles (was: Domain Created)

    Hello All
I have created my AD and my First DC yesterday and have added all my OU's for group policy objects i will create

Now i have set up a test user who can log onto two different machines but as no roaming is enabled they dont take there files desktop, settings etc with them

    Currently i use a internal POP3 server for E-mail

What options do i have with roaming profiles as i know they can slow down users log in process greatly and Train Signal course i took does not cover roaming.

I will in the future impliment exchange but for now its going to be my pop3 server, many users can be told to keep files on the network mapped drives but i woudl liek to set up roaming if possible.

I suppose what i am trying to say is to roam or not to roam?
