  • Making W2k8 a router

    hi,
    This question might belong to the networking thread, but I rather look for a solution from the winsk8 server angel.

    I'm trying to set an environment like this:

    1st network: Win2k8 server (2 nics)

    connected to :

    2nd network win2k8 server (2 nics)

    connected to ISA Firewall (on win2k3)

    2nd network is working fine going "out" through the isa firewall.

    what do I need to configure on both win2k8 servers so 1st network can go through 2nd win2k8 server "outside" ?

    another way to show it:

    computer ----> win2k8(1st) ---> win2k8(2nd) --> firewall --> internet

    I've tried playing with route add command but I'm doing something wrong....

    Maybe I've misunderstood but have you looked at RRAS on 2008?

      Hi, Thanks,
      I've found what I've missed - the NAT routing protocol....
