  • Active Drectory time sync

    Hi
I have 2 DC running on windows 2008 standart and windows 2000/Xp clients.
I have problem with time sync on this clients. When I try command NET TIME
I have got answer: currnet time on \\dc1 is ......

thats ok, but when I try: NET TIME /QUERYSNTP

Answer is: current sntp value is: time.windows.com, 0x9

When I try NET TIME /SET it take time form DC1. thats correct.

But I need to set up, that clients automatically set up time from DC1. I have NET TIME /SETSNTPC1 in my logon script but where I can set up that clients will actualize it automatially in time interval? In windows 2003 DC a had no problem...

    Thanks
    Thanks

    Re: Active Drectory time sync

Why? You don't need to touch anything. By default all clients will sync from a local DC and all DCs will sync from the PDC.

If you do want to make changes ditch "net time" and google w32tm.
