  • RWW on windows2008

    Hi

We used to have a 2003 sbs server in company, and now we migrate everything to 2008. The only thing we're not satisfied is RWW does not on windows2008 DC.
I found a document about installing RWW on windows2008 , see link http://blog.exceedio.com/2008/05/09/...rver-2008-x86/. Did anyone try it before?

    Thanks

    Kire

So there is no such RWW application package which can be installed on windows2008, or other windows2003, right?

      Thanks

Well It depends what you want.
There is Terminal Services with TS gateway which can be a solution for remote Desktop
OWA/OMA for remote messaging via Webinterface.

        What do you need?

You don't need SP3 but you need MSTSC 6.0 client.
However people shouldn't complain but rather keep their systems up-to-date.
I don't know if you are allowing users to connect with there personal computer or a business one but I would consider WSUS and maybe NAP to at least check if the clients are compliant with eg Patches and AV. Personally I don't see why they are not willing to install SP3. Mstsc 6.0 client is included per default in SP3 so that's why they "think" they need SP3. But that's not true

ps, Mstsc (Microsoft terminal server client) = also called als RDC (remote desktop client)
