  • Exchange System Manager 2003 on Server2008.

    Hi ,
    someone was abel to install ESM2003 on windows server 2008 ?

    im running in a lot of problems...

    help ?...

    What are the problems you're experiencing? Your best bet is going to be installing the software onto a supported platform, which would be Windows Server 2003.

            when im trying to install the esm it gives me and error "operation system not supported"

                Why not just get an XP VM on the 2008 box if you really must use that box to manage Exchange 2003?

                  i will explain what is the problem...

                  the windows server 2008 belong to the Helpdesk in my company ( i manage this server ) the helpdesk must to use ESM in order to manage the client mailboxes..

                  i hope i clear the fog from this issue...

                  any solution ?

                    Andy's suggestion is valid then - setup a VM on the server running a suitable operating system. Windows XP will do fine if only one person has to use ESM at a time, Server 2003 if multiple people have to do so.

                      As far as I know the answer is that you can't so far, so this only leaves a workaround.

                      Having said that, why a 2008 server box for helpdesk staff?

                        it's not for HD user only.
                        also other team in the company using it..

                        it's like a Kiosk terminal for the IT in my company.
