  • DNS service starting critical error

    Hi all,

recently I have encountered problems with DNS service on W2K8 machine.
Let me try to explain what is not working:

    1) This is W2K8, 64bit OS, with AD roles and dns integrated.

After installing some update and restart serwer, DNS failed to start.
The main error from DNS servis is:

Error 1722: The RPC server is unavailable.

    Further investigetion:

    - RPC service is running
    - Windows Event Log service is in starting state - so I don't have any others eventlogs
    - due to Event Log service problems Task Scheduler and TS Licensing won't to start

What I tried without any success:
    - unistalled last updates
    - disable MCAffe AV service

What can I do to resolve this issue?
Is there any possibility to reinstall RPC service?

    Regards
