  • Server Core issue

Hi everyone - I've got a client that has installed server core on two seperate and radically different pieces of hardware using two different copies of server 2008 and they work fine until he joins the machines to his domain (a 2003 domain that he had prepped).
Once he joins the sc machines, he reboots as normal but when they restart he logs on as a domain admin but he has no command prompt available and ctrl-alt-delete doesn't work. If he uses rdp - the issue is the same but if he logs in as a local admin, he gets the command prompt. I figure it's a group policy issue and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts ?

    Re: Server Core issue

Is there any GPO that affects the OU in which the servers are placed? Begin by inspecting it. Perhaps you could also move the computer objects to a different OU and check again by using GPMC and Resultant Set of Policies (RSOP) part of it.
    Cheers,
