  • GPO Setting to change to classic logon screen

I'm new to this forum so I apologise if I have posted to the wrong forum.

Within our domain we have begun adding Windows 2008 Servers. My question to you is, how can we modify these servers to use the classic logon screen used in Windows 2003 Server instead of using the Vista looking interface of Windows 2008 Server.

I'm hoping that it can be done by a GPO setting.

Within our domain we have 2 DC's the primary being Windows 2003 Server and the secondary being Windows 2008 Server. Will the 2008 Server have extra GPO templates that could do this task? Does anybody know of custom ADM files available for download that could achieve what I want?

All I have seen so far is the option found on the Windows 2008 Server in GP Management at:

Computer Configuration | Policies | Administrative Templates | System | Logon

Where the option "Always use classic logon" is available BUT only works when the computer is NOT part of a domain, so this will not fix my issue.

I look forward to your response.
