  • IIS 7 service not running?

This is all very new to me and I'm trying to get a Sharepoint test server up. I decided to do it on 2008 since that is what we will probably be doing when we finally purchase the hardware, soon.

I have installed Server 2008, and have added the roles for Application Server, Web Server (IIS), and .NET 3.0. Then I go to install SQL 2005 and it says IIS is not installed, or I need to enable it in control panel. I DID install it (and nearly every role service that goes with it), but for the life of me I can't find where in the control panel you are suppose to "enable it". The only service running is IIS Admin Service and I guess that isn't it.

Can someone help me please? (I'm installing 2005 SQL because that's what we have, and with SP2 it should work according to MSFT).

It worked, apparently the ONE service I didn't check was the IIS6 WMI and that must have made the difference! Green checks all the way. Thank you dumber.
