  • Windows Server 2008 Networking Issue

I have 2 windows server 2008 servers in my office connected to the net via Netgear VPN FVS338 router.

Every now and then they loose internet connectivity and then I Have to manually diagnose and repair them. The LAN works fine. But they just see till the Router and not beyond it. Works fine after repairing, but it is shortlived.

This problem is common even with my Windows Vista machines.

I tried removing the VPN router, but the problem still persists on the Server 2008 and Vista machines.

    Any clues?

Good to see I'm not the only one experiencing this issue!
Same router in my case (http://forums.petri.com/showthread.php?t=25203) but so far I seem to have tracked some of it down to a rogue IP on the LAN

Did you check the new TCP/IP features that Vista/2008 have? Some of these are incompatible with some routers/switches.
