Virtual Hard Drive (VHD) Test Drive Program
If you are an IT professional or developer and you would like to evaluate a pre-configured release candidate version of Windows Server 2008, you can download a VHD of Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate to use with Virtual Server 2005 R2. Try either a full installation of Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate configured with server roles including Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0, Terminal Services RemoteApp and Active Directory Domain Services, or a Server Core installation of Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate that is ready to have a number of server roles and features installed within a smaller server footprint for reduced management and maintenance.
