  • Clustering DHCP

    Hi all,

I completely set up a 2 node clustering using MNS quorum in order to cluster DHCP & WINS, i found no problem for wins server but for DHCP, i can authorize one and unauthorize the other or i can authorize both servers each with half of my scope to ensure no ip conflicts but in both cases i don't need cluster, it could be done with 2 separated servers, am i right?.

In your mind, is it possible to have 2 dhcp servers with shared DB or something like that?

    Thx in advance.

    Re: Clustering DHCP

afaik no, you can't build clustering into dhcp.
However you can build redudancy into it.

    see for example
