A few days ago, just after booting the machine and just before the logon process, an error message appears indicating that the “…Wins database is corrupted”, and that “… I should repair it or restoring it from a backup device”.

I carried out the repairing processes:

recreated a new database file after rebooting the system again. The problem persisted.

Could you give any help? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
