  • From Windows Delete the root password of Linux in Shadow file of linux

    I want to delete the root password of linux from etc/shadow by using the software 'Explorer2fs' in windows xp but this software allow me the export the shadow file in windows but did not allow me to import this file again the its orginal location tell me how can i import this file to its location .

    Have you forgotten the Linux root password or are you trying to access another person's system?

      reboot to Linux, boot into single user mode and reset root's password. No need to crack anything as long as boot loader (GRUB/LILO) is not password protected.
