  • problem starting web site in IIS 6.0

    Hello
    When I try to start my web site from IIS manager I get following error
    "The format of the specified network is invalid"
    What is the problem , what do I do to reslove the problem?

    Please check whether you have selected a valid application pool .
    (If you are using windows 2003).

      Ensure that the website you're trying to start is not using an IP address and port combination that is already in use by another website on the same server.

      Example:
      If you have a web site configured to use IP address 10.10.10.10 (or all unassigned) port 80 and that website is already started and running, you cannot configure another website to use 10.10.10.10 (or all unassigned) port 80. That would be a conflict and IIS would not know how to handle incoming HTTP requests, ie. which website the requests are destined for, unless you use host header addresses.
