  • Performance Monitoring Eye Candy

For those that are new to Windows performance monitoring and tuning, or for those who are looking for charts and graphs that are easy to gather and easy on the eyes, check out a product called Spotlight on Windows by Quest Software. I've used this product off and on for a few years. They also offer a version called Spotlight on SQL which is geared specifically for MS SQL Server. One of the screenshots included in this post shows a sample of Spotlight on SQL monitoring.

That sounds way too expensive. No volume licensing?

I don't know what to say. We didn't pay that much money for the tool. That's a lot of money to spend on a performance monitoring tool.

Maybe it includes a Beemer with an Internet connection, for monitoring purposes of course.
