  • Copying files from command line

    Hi!

If I recall it correctly, in the Windows NT Ressource Kit there was a very usefull utility to copy files from the command line allowing to copy only newer files from a directory tree. It had also some interesting switches to set the number of retries, skip empty files, etc.
Does someone know if such a thing exists on Windows XP and where it can be downloaded?

    Thanks for your help

    Robocopy.exe

I suddenly remembered the name of the tool. I post it here, so it can help other users It is called Robocopy.exe. It is really handy if you need to mirror or update files and/or folders in a directory. It is included in the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools, but it works fine also even if Windows NT.
