  • DNS/AD - change of IP address

    Hi,

I have a Windows 2003 server as DC and DNS configured. I need to change the ip address from 192.168.0.0 to 172.16.0.0 network. I tried to add the 172 address first then try it on the WS that connects to it. It failed, I issued the NSlookup command and the reply was the 192 address. I changed the host address on the DNS but continue to get the same results.

Is there a procedure to this? I would really appreciate your help on this matter

    Thanks in advance.
    Cesar

Re: DNS/AD - change of IP address

    1. Run Netdiag /fix
    2. Check when there is any issue
    3. Change the ip on your DC.

If still the problem problem persist check the usage of utility DCdiag.exe and perform the Diagnostics.
