  • Assign OffXP SP3 via GPO - How?

I know how to assign an Windows OS SP to computers via GPO. There's some doc to do this on this site too. AND I found Microsoft's webpage describing various ways to _deploy_ Office (XP or other), including via GPO. BUT, how can I assign via GPO just the Office XP SP3 .exe that I downloaded to my existing installed base of Office XP client computers? Seems I need a .msi or .msp or even a .zap file describing the installation. Right? Where can this be found or do I need to build one and does anybody have a base I could modify?

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Dan

    Dan,

Did you try to extract the SP? Do it and see what you get.

Assuming that you deployed the Office XP using GPO, all you need to do is to slipstream the SP3 into your distribution share and redeploy the package through the GPO.
