    Hello,

    Any helps is greatly appreciated!

I just finished adding a 2003 DC to an existing 2000 DC. I've verified all the components were successfully installed.

One thing I could not figure out is there are 2 NIC on my 2003. I changed the IPs to 192.168.1.218 and 192.168.1.219 and removed .218 from the switch prior to the dcpromo and DNS installation on the 2003 server.

After the installation, my network cannot see .219 and I cannot do anything until I plug back in my .218 NIC. As long as I connect .218, all the replications and access are fine.

Any idea? Pleaset note that I configure .219 as my DNS on the 2003 server.

    Thanks

After unpluging 218 from the Switch, do you disable the connection ? And is the 192.168.1.219 connection enabled when you try to check the connectivity ?

Check your NAT connection too. It might be one connection setting to act as a NAT for Public Network and the other one is for yout Private

Do both IP addresses appear in the DNS? Make sure the 219 address is properly registered in the DNS.
