  • VPN Connectivity Issue.

    Hi there.

I wonder if i can get some really good help from you guys. You have always been able to help me anyways.

We have opted for VPN tunneling on our shared firewall with our ISP.

Now if a user from home connects via a VPN connection into our network using the Domain Admin account they can connect without any hassles what so ever, but if the users tries to use their active directory username and password it does not allow them to connect.
I have ticked the control access through remote access policy in the users profile in active directory but it still does not allow the user to connect.

We are running a windows 2003 server with remote routing and access. Is there a policy setting for the users that needs to be changed to allow the user to create a VPN tunnel into our network?

    I hope you can help.

    Thanks a million.

    Re: VPN Connectivity Issue.

Ok never mind i finally found the problem.

I created a security group called VPN users and added the users that are allowed to create a VPN tunnel into our network. I then created a new Remote Access Policy and added the group to the policy and WHAM!! So no it is working.

God helps those who help themselves.

Sjoe, now i can finally go home and sleep.
