  • FTP server access problem

I have FTP server running windows 2000 SP3.

I have been using it for a while, but now I am facing problem uploading files to my server.

I dont know where to check and what to be check in terms of security. I have allow everyone to access the folder, though I can create new folders it does not allow me to copy files to it.

the server is on DMZ side while my machine is on the other side of the network i.e. enterprise. firewall allow access to this server so my worry is on folder security access rather than firewall, since I can ftp and login without any problem.

    Please help.

    Thanks.

Sound like you don't have the correct permission to upload to the server.

What are the exact permissions you have??

      Re: FTP server access problem

I have full access for local administrator
      modify for other users
      read for everyone.

I login on ftp using administrator on command line, if I use browser it does not prompt for password.

      Thanks.
