  • SMALL OFFICE NETWORK

    hi

I WANT TO INSTALL A 2000 SEREVER IN A SMALL OFFICE.
I HAVE GOT 4-6 PENTIUM 3 COMPUTERS WITH WIN 98 ON THEM
I WILL BE USING MOSTLY "HASHAVSHEVET" (DOS PROGRAM)
    FOR ACCOUNTING
SHOULD I BUY A REAL SERVER OR CAN I JUST USE A REGULAR
    STRONG COMPUTER AS A SERVER?
WHERE CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SMALL OFFICE
NETWORK INSTELLATION , HARDWARE AND REQUIRMENTS?

For a small office network with less than 10 users you can get away with a regular PC with good hardware specs (1GB or RAM, good MOBO, P4/AMD, 2 SCSI HD etc.). A "real" server is always better, but a "regular" PC will also be ok.

BTW, maybe you don't know, but writing in CAPS LOCK is like SHOUTING. Try not do write like that, it might offend other people.
